Making it easier than ever

Graze is Bluesky. By You.

We’ve made creating your first feed easier than ever. Check out the details of our new Simple Editor below.

But first! We want to extend massive congratulations to Rudy Fraser and the Blacksky crew for starting to migrate users over to the new Blacksky PDS. All of Rudy’s work is groundbreaking and this is the first major step to a truly distributed, interoperable social world based on ATProto.

We were also delighted to see @skiff.social start to share these insights into the ATProto universe:

Bluesky continues to be a growing, vibrant ecosystem that you get to contribute to building from the ground up.

What’s Happening in the Fold:

  • One of the biggest newsletter platforms Ghost now syndicates to Bluesky and Mastodon, letting users plug their newsletters and blog posts directly into the social web.

  • Bluesky has shared new versions of its Terms and Community Guidelines and is inviting feedback from the community until August 28th.

Since launching Bluesky two years ago, we’ve grown tremendously. As our community has expanded, feedback on our terms of service, community guidelines, copyright, and privacy policies has surfaced opportunities to improve clarity. With more experience under our belt and an evolving regulatory landscape, we’re updating the language in our terms and policies to better explain our approach and provide more detail.

  • A new academic study shows that journal articles are now being shared extensively on Bluesky, representing “a scholarly landscape where conversations are no longer concentrated on a single platform, but are now “genuinely distributed between X and Bluesky.”

Upgrades and Improvements:

We’ve rolled out an enormous improvement to helping people get started with custom feeds. Introducing our Simple Editor!

The Simple Editor lets new users easily choose what to include or exclude from their first feeds. It’s a really easy way to get to grips with all the basic nodes:

And once you’re ready you can switch out to the Full Editor to get the benefit of all the tools we offer. We’ve updated our guide to Creating Your First Feed to reflect this — share it with someone you know!

Get to know the Fold:

Each newsletter, we’ll chat to someone who is using Graze to do awesome stuff. If you’d like to share your work with us, reply and let us know!

This week we’re chatting with Borut, the founder of BlueskyHunter.

When did you join Bluesky and why?

I joined Bluesky about 10 months ago, and I was really impressed to see a brand new social platform already gaining an active and engaged user base.

How do you explain Bluesky to other people?

To me, Bluesky is a fresh and exciting social media where you can easily connect with like minded people in a meaningful way and AT Protocol is what sets bluesky apart from all other social media sites.

You are the founder of Blueskyhunter — tell us about how this project came about and what inspired it?

I noticed there was a real need for a simple, effective tool for users and businesses get the most out of Bluesky with all in one tool for Bluesky growth. Since there weren’t many established solutions or big business focusing on this space yet, I decided to build Blueskyhunter to fill that gap that's how Blueskyhunter was born and it was also featured in Techcrunch which i'm super proud of. So if you want scheduler, analytics, engagement you are more then welcome to try it out.

Come and say hello:

We’re building a great community of Graze users supporting one another in the Discord. We’d love to see you there if you’re starting out with feeds, want help, or just want to find some like-minded people.
